The excitement seems to be contagious surrounding Shopit Media. Whats that you say? Haven’t heard of Shopit Media? pff. Shopit Media is only the newest, shiniest bauble in the “treasure-trove” that is social network advertising! And everyone knows that shiny is good.
If that explanation didn’t do it for you, how about our technical explanation. In the words of our own Stephanie, “Shopit Media specializes in Social Network Advertising. We place your ads in prominent positions within the social networking space. Our systems are set up to make it easy for you to manage multiple campaigns and accounts. You will be able to manage thousands of ads in many categories with ease. As your agent in the world of social networks, we put our expertise, products, and infrastructure to work on your behalf. We provide pivotal solutions for our clients in this ever growing medium”. Wow.
As far as your questions, we like Kristina Knight’s “Looking to get a little more social?” of Biz Report. It prompts the questions we’ve been receiving about Shopit Media and what exactly we’re planning to do with it. Here’s the layman description. Shopit Media is a way to for our users to market their products across numerous social communities through our own platform. We’ve kicked out the middle man and taken his place. We give our users the security of dealing with a company that has already made its mark on the social networking scene and knows the ins and outs of the top available social networks. Now facebook apps can create ads and publicity for themselves while big name brands can get into the gold mine that is social ad space.
Just to give you an idea of how exciting this is for us, here’s a few reputable publications our big news was picked up by! Ad Ops re-ran our press release, which can be found on Reuters. StartupMeme blurbed about us, Tameka Kee of PaidContent.org mentioned us, and Sociable Social Media Guru, Social Networking Watch, and Media Post all picked up on us as well. Personally TechCrunch had our favorite write up, contacting our team to get the technical answers. We’re excited to have caught so much attention, and have already heard the good word, people want to see how we perform and we’re looking forward to proving that rolling stones gather no moss.
In case you’re an app designer or potential publisher who’s reading up on us, we’ve put out a blurb before in our blog letting publishers know they can earn an 80% revenue share if they sign up with us before February 28th, 2009! Tell your friends!
