We here at Shopit have decided that we don’t share enough with you, our users. We sit here in the office and giggle at fun products, talk about what we’d buy, and tell each other about great stores we find while we’re working. We get a lot of smiles out of checking out our users stores on a regular basis and we want to start telling you about everything we find! This is the first in what will be a regular blog about all of our favorite things. Favorite users and their stores, and why we think they’re special enough to tell you about! There’s a lot to Shopit you may not know about and things you can use it for you may not have thought about. We’re looking for unique, innovative, creative ways of using Shopit to sell your stuff, promote yourself, and create a great shopping experience!
First up, our grand opener, is a user named Gail Cavanaugh. She’s a business consultant and provider of merchant services to businesses. She’s a writer, a blogger, and most recently an educator. Gail has created a group called S.A.V.E.M.M to educate teenagers on money and credit management, and is all about sharing her knowledge and getting people thinking about money and credit in the best ways possible.
As far as Gail’s Shopit store? Well heres what we like!
- She Promotes her Services: Most of our users use Shopit to promote their wares, crafts, designs, and all sorts of physical items. The lesser known portion of our offerings allows users to offer their services to customers. Gail currently offers Tutoring, Design Services, andBusiness Consultations on her Shopit page, giving you the ability to purchase her knowledge instead of a stodgy book on Design or Business.
- She’s Full of Information: Gail describes exactly what she does and what she’ll be able to help you with in the first available section. She’s clear and informative and gives you a quick idea as to whether or not she’s what you’re looking for! In her Recommendations she explains further why she’s offering her services and what she can do for you, and even includes customer testimonials. It’s always great to read that the service has worked before!
- She’s Using Every Available Outlet: Gail is an avid writer and keeps up a blog, a Twitter account, and writes articles for Suite101.com. She was recently featured in the Providence Business News (where she caught our eye) and has received favorable press on her new program to educate teens about credit! She provides links to almost all of the places you can catch her on the internet, go check them out!
